There are humans, and there are dragons. Dragons eat humans, and as such, humans do not like dragons. You can only kill dragons with special silver swords that will freeze the blood of the dragon. Ranga wants to wipe out all the dragons, but he is weak. He follows Leonica because she is strong and can kill dragons better than Ranga.
