I never thought I would actually say an anime was saved by dubs. I honestly think the world is ending. To think that an industry that is used to make a quick buck off of idiots like me could be good... or at least getting better. It is really kind of sad. Maybe I am hallucinating.... maybe I need to watch the subbed version. Granted that version will suck because it is on DVD. I have to take a step back and see the hollowness through the dubs though.

For starters there is no story in this anime. Really there is none. You have the initial plot where Ayumi is trying to cure her curse. She believe that making Haruno a man will do that. Of course that means she is spending all of her time seducing him. Of course she sees herself as "Gods Gift To Mankind". So her attempts at seduction are lazy at best. It could be Haruno as well. After all, his sisters are all hot and rarely walk around clothed in there house. That being said most of the characters are pretty poorly developed. Most of them are one joke. You have Ayumi the sociopath, Miakwa the brother complex, Yuri the closet case, and Marian the poor religous girl. All of them are the same joke over and over and over again. Ayumi just sort of spreads her legs and tells Haruno to come in. Maikwa is obsessed with her brother. Yuri has highly conflicting views about her feelings for Haruno. Finally there is Marian who is just insane and worthless. The only one who shows any character growth is Ayumi and that is forced.

This anime feels like it ended too early. The ending feels like a cop out. Which can happen if the author is told his or her anime is to be canceled. There is a chance this anime had a bit more depth to it. However, it was ended too early. So the author did what any author would do. Take the lazy way out. I won't spoil it for you. Just say I am disappointed because all the character development takes place in the last episode and the anime is suddenly over. So I guess I am saying do not watch this in Japanese. Most of us already know that language changes depending upon how it is communicated. Meaning that the sub-titles will not contain all the extra garbage that is thrown in that makes this anime funny. There are many subtle things that at least make the anime hilarious to watch. Even if there are puddles with more depth out there.
