So The Trip Begins
My first multi-week vacation begins, and it is off to a wonderful start. After all I spent the whole day at work. After my personal training session, I tried to go to sleep. I failed miserably at that. I only managed to get a one hour nap before I had to go out. Then right before I got out of Colorado I managed to get pulled over. Going 96 in a 75, that is a nice six point ticket. Lets hope that I can get home and pay the ticket before the ticket actually costs me six points.
Once I entered Nebraska I was greeted with some fog. I was also greeted with lots of warnings for winter driving conditions. I hate it when these signs lie. There was nothing but dry roads. After about two hours of driving in Nebraska. I had finally had enough and needed to sleep. Luckily there are always plenty of hotels on the Interstates. I was able to find a Red Roof Inn, for $50 a night. So when I look at this... I paid $50 to take a short nap... hmmm oh well it is always hard to tell where it is safe to sleep on the road.
I have to say that I was pretty annoyed with my network support. When I am on roaming, that means that I cannot get updated directions. That is the main problem with using Android's GPS software. I am dependent on the internet to get directions to my location. Luckily the back roads in Missouri had G network. I was actually able to get directions to my destination. Which was a nice thing. The fog was unending on this trip. I mean seriously, unending, of varying densities. Nothing stresses someone out on the trip, like having crappy driving conditions.
Then I made it to Indiana. Here is where I ran into a problem. There was some nice major road construction going on. Which added around... well 3 hours to my trip as my GPS tried to get back on course. I hate poorly labeled detours. They make my life so very very hard. Anyway, after about 16 hours I finally made it to my sister's apartment. Which was nice, because I was seriously starting to crash. Well that and I had to pee. I made the mistake of saying "Only 30 more minutes I can make it". However, I made it unscathed, and could crash into a coma and recover.
