Well this past week has been a rather marathon filled one if I do say so myself. First it started out with my very long crusade through Star Ocean: The Last Hope. While this is a video game I might as well be watching an anime. Not just because of the art style, no there are some VERY long cut scences in that game. So long in fact that there were times when my controller timed out. Of course whoever made the game, or system, had the genius idea of pausing hte cut scence whenever your controller turned off. Now I am not sure if you can control this feature. However, who timed these scence? I know that you can disable and ignore certian options in that the SDK comes with. Seriously did no one think that maybe the controller would turn off if you were slowly turdging along through a cut scence? However off the length and back to why this is an anime. This is a classic shounen anime. You have all the needed characters. The idiot lead, his horny friend, their innocent little friends, the jaded older sister and the innocent. Things would not be so bad if the characters were not so cookie cutter. I mean seriously these characters fit into the perfect molds of their desired roles. I just do not know how else to say it. Well lucky for me I am almost at the end of the game. I just wonder what god awefully long cut scence awaits me at the end.

On the actual anime side of the marathons. After attending a Rockies game I was motivated to watch a baseball anime called One Outs. I punched through a whole 16 episodes of that one, which was AWESOME. It is not every day that I go through that much anime. And to make things better this anime is very tolerable one. Not sappy like most sports anime. Granted I am not so much a fan of the homo-erotic intro, but aside from that it is very cool. After all, when the main character is a manipulative sociopath, how can that not be awesome. Granted he is starting to go through that stage where his heart starts warm up a bit. Which is going to make the anime suck. Speaking of making the anime suck when are they going to introduce the love interest? Aw god that is going to be terrible. Well of course that is if the main character manipulates her cloths off then that is a different story. Either way I am curious to see how the story plays out.
