Okay I am in the home stretch for these marvel movies. I just need to finish off the last 5 or so. One is still in theaters so that might be a nice change to finish my marathon in the theater. Anyway, damn, this is getting hard to do. I had forgotten how over the years these movies have been slowly creeping to three plus hours long.

I get that they are trying to cover a lot of ground in these movies, but still this is getting kind of difficult to handle with my remaining time. I guess that I should have done a better job of starting earlier or watching more when I did not have to worry about waking up the next day. Still it is kind of funny to see how these movies just keep getting longer and longer. However, I guess they are trying their best to get everything they can crammed into the end of phase one before phase one ends.

I guess I tend to forget how long some of the stories are. I picked up the old Civil War graphic novel and was suddenly reminded of how much time I spent just reading that much less how many breaks I had to take. Still it is kind of annoying having to make it through several different movies that are two and a half hours long. Which is really strange when I think about these comics. Then again what do I know about actual comics. Some only get like 20 issues I should think that could be more easily translated into a two hour movie. Hmmm I do not know it just feels like these movies are taking longer than they used too.

I guess the whole being excited about them thing is over which might be increasing the amount of time that seems to be needed to get to the end of the movie. I remember with pretty much every one of these movies I was surprised how much time had pass and upset there was not more. I now realize that is a mistake and I should probably be grateful for shorter movies. Then again what can you get through in just a couple of hours when you have decades of lore that everyone wants included in this series. Oh well I guess that is just how thing seem to work out and that is just how I will do things.

Now the real question is will there be another marathon held on my own time? Hard to say, I know there is one more avengers movie coming out and that it is going to wrap up this first round of the MCU. Still I am not sure if I am going to be doing something like pulling another marathon. I mean... yeah there are only going to be like, what, three new movies between this Avengers and the next one, but still that is almost like eight hours of stuff to watch, depending on the franchise. Hmmm that is the ultimate question to have answered right?

Well regardless I am on track to be getting through these movies and watching them and enjoying them and all that nonsense. It is not that I have not enjoyed the movies, I am just more concerned about my old age. It gets really hard to do those days at work when I am coming off of only three hours of sleep, but that is just how I have to do things sometimes. You do not always get your way and I guess this is one of those times when I am just going to have to take it and get it over with. Oh well, that is always fun, still I do not think that I am going to do the avengers marathon again, unless there is some kind of movie collection released that I can buy. That would be the only way. I do not really feel like putting forth the effort to find them for cheaper than what renting them online cost me.
