Find A Better Use Of Your Time In 2014
Alright then, lets see if we cannot get this over with and make everyone aware of what is going on in the world of this season of anime today. This is one of those random times when I am having a hard time finding enough anime to not recommend. I mean I have managed to make it through a lot of anime but you know this kind of thing always gets in the way. My somewhat.. I guess disability to be easily entertained makes this hard sometimes. So I have stuff that I am on the edge about... but then again I am not because it is not like the anime itself i sa bad anime. Well I will just have to wing it.
So the first two that I will hit, in a rare dual comparison, are Yuuki Yuuna wa Yuusha de Aru and Inou Battle wa Nichijou-kei no Naka de. Now I could waste a bunch of time going into my own unique ideas as to why we should not watch these, but I won't. Instead I will lump them together because they have one major problem for me, they are wasted potential. Really both set themselves up to be these really interesting ideas... Inou Battle wa Nichijou-kei no Naka de more so than the other one. Then what do they do, they pretend like all that interesting plot stuff is boring and take the K-On! season 2 route and fill it with slice-of-life garbage. I mean really... why did they do this to me? Both could have had these weird interesting stories. No instead we are talking about being best friends and what girl the boy might choose. Which was very disappointing for me.
Next I will pick on Donten ni Warau. This one is another one of those anime where it looks like it might be good. However, it falls into the usual routine of orphaned kids all with the usual personalities, the bad ass eldest brother, the jealous middle brother, and the carefree youngest brother. I am just kind of bored watching the middle brother get manipulated as well as getting his ego crushed every step of the way. It is one of those things that makes a show so boring. At least the older brother's craziness can kind of make things more amusing, but even then it is kind of predictable. Oh well, I guess that just happens in some anime. They just become a comedy routine and allow fighting and good art to carry them along.
Now this one is kind of a rare one for me. I will be skipping Tribe Cool Crew this time around. Aside from following the usual anime sports cliche of extrovert sport player, and introvert sport player meet and team up to be bad ass, this one only works when the two share a gender for me anyway. This one holds the similar theme to some kind of American franchise that I took one look at and kind of laughed at. Then I was saddened by the fact that I lost that short period of my life on that nonsense. Where do people get this stuff? I mean the most entertaining part of the anime is the dancing. That is because they put everything in CG and made it really crisp and interesting. I guess that it is nice, but I cannot watch this because it just does not feel right to watch it.
Sora no Method is the last one I will pick on. I really do not have to say more if you have already watched the series. It is just more Moe garbage. You know girl comes back to home town and has to deal with bitter friends who all are annoyed by her because she left and stuff like that. I mean geez you would think they would be a little nicer it is not like the kids were not 4 years old at the time. Sadly I am not sure what else this anime is about. It seems to be a cute anime for the purpose of being cute. Oh well, at least I can drop it and everything will be okay.
So yeah there you have my picks for stuff to not watch. Some might say I am being kind of harsh, but you know it is lame what they have for this season. I honestly have to wonder if Japan is so famished for new anime and manga that they take just about anything? Seriously, I just do not get how some of these become anime. Well whatever, I guess I am not a pure enough Otaku to understand.
