So umm yeah I have been rather absent for a while despite the new season right? Well I have to say that I am just being lazy... or addicted to video games. You see this wonderful new game came out called pokemon. You know that game that has been robbing people of their childhood for many many years now. I still remember how I beat the holy living crap out of Red... I think I had red anyway. The parents see fit to randomly remove video games in my absence. You would think that after my time playing this for so long between yellow, gold, and diamond I would be done with this. However, you would also have to be wrong about that.

To be honest I actually did not beat Diamond. At that point I was kind of fed up with the whole... I guess cycle of things. The formula seemed like a waste on a new more powerful system like the DS. Yes it was fun running around and catching pokemon but the problem came with the fact that the game had no evolved any. I mean it was pretty much the same game that I had played when I beat Gold. So it now lies with a couple of gym badges and a bit of bordem. I skipped the whole black and white versions as well. From what I saw, again the same as gold... so I decided that I needed that generation off.

Well my patience and addiction to other games has finally paid off and guess what pokemon X and pokemon Y came out. This was the much needed change that I was hoping for. First off the main change that I wanted was an upgrade of the graphics. Yeah I am not normally one to complain, but you get tired of the same old 2d sprites over and over again. So this was the welcome change that was much needed. Plus there were some new features that were much needed as well.

Such as super training, now I do not fully understand it, but I do know that it has boosted some unusual skills for pokemon who struggle in other areas. If the damn thing was not so frustrating at times I might have beaten more of it. From what I understand super training boosts your stats So I spent a bunch of time and capped some of those stats. Plus it is a fun distraction Not that I really need to sell you guys on it.

Then there is my next favorite thing that was never in any of the other games, the battle chateau. Yes finally a place where I can go to grind the crap out of my pokemon instead of just spending weeks grinding on wild pokemon. Even better if you invest a little money you can control what kind of trainers come to that place. Thanks to this place I am grossly over-leveled and I have not even wasted too much time grinding on the good old wild pokemon. Not to mention that I am filthy rich which is even better. I love being so freaking rich I do not know what I can do. It makes buying good items easier.

The last thing that I really enjoy about this game is the fact that they nerfed the breeding system. I have seen plenty of guides online on how to breed pokemon. I have to say from what I have heard this is a million times easier than breeding was in Gold. I mean I can even manipulate the results with items and being an overall dick. Granted I am not sure if I am going to get my super orgasm pokemon team going, but I know I will try. It would be fun to remain competitive in ranked battles. Especially if I am not investing weeks and weeks into building my pokemon over and over again.

So yeah I am having a good time with this game. I have gone off and found a couple of my old favorites and I have some new favorites that are like the old favorites but newer and cooler looking. I should be able to break the 55 hour barrier REALLY soon. It am starting to fall behind on the anime and work for this site... but it takes a good couple of weeks for the addiction to run its course so you guys are just going to have to wait.
