So recently I have been catching up on anime. One thing that I am starting to wonder about are the so-called "Trap" characters. I mean.. what exactly is the obsession with the whole concept of the trap anyway? I have never understood it to be honest... you have all these guys out there who dress as girls. I guess in some animes' they make a point to explain why certain things are the way they are... but.. you know I have never really understood the whole trap concept. I guess the main point that confuses me the most is the fact that all traps are males.

You know the ones, the males with really high voices and a really girly attitude. Those are the ones that I am talking about. They are clearly male yet until someone tells you they appear female. This seems to be the trend in anime. As where there are plenty of animes where they try and have the trap female, but it is not really a trap because you can tell right away that the character is a female. When I think about it I do not think I have ever seen a female trap that I could not tell was female right away?

I guess that kind of goes to show something about the way we view things int he world... or maybe I am just looking to much into it. However, with most females who are traps there is always some kind of tell. You know for starters that guy who is a but short yet has a nice sized chest. I mean you can only bind things like that down so much. So it looks like the guy has just been hitting the bench all the time when he is working out. Then there are other small tells... namely it is in the way the female trap is treated by others. Rarely is the female trap ever treated like a guy. Most of the time said female trap is treated like a girly guy. Yet some how they fool everyone but me. I will admit the trap in Hagani threw me a little bit.. but there were just things about that character that stood out too much.

Oh well I guess you have the never ending fetishes... I wonder if traps are put in there to draw out the closet homosexuals... nah that would be too easy for them. No... I think that there are people who just need to get out a little more. That is coming from me the guy who rarely leaves his house to begin with. Though I do have to admit I would get some satisfaction ruining everyones' perception of the trap guy. That is always something that would be fun.

I guess it is just something you have to be into to really get. I do not mind the whole crossdressing scene to be honest. As long as the guys actually try. Maybe that is the message that is being sent.. god I hope that is the message that is being sent. That if you are going to be a trap male you need to actually put your back into it. Sadly reality sucks more than the fantasy that is provided by our wonderful authors who just want another girl figurine to sell.
